The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles is the second highest governing body in the Mormon Church. It is based off the Twelve Apostles that Jesus Christ called in the Bible. Mormons believe these men are prophets, seers, and revelators and hold their assignments until death.
The current members of the Quorum, in order of seniority, are as follows: M. Russell Ballard, Jeffrey R. Holland, Dieter F. Uchtdorf, David A. Bednar, Quentin L. Cook, D. Todd Christofferson, Neil L. Andersen, Ronald A. Rasband, Gary E. Stevenson, Dale G. Renlund, Gerrit W. Gong, and Ulisses Soares. The order of seniority is important to note as the most senior Apostle, including the members of the First Presidency, will become the next President of the Church.
