Communication between [Ethan Gregory Dodge] on behalf of the Truth and Transparency Foundation (MormonLeaks), the BYU Police Department (BYUPD), and the Utah State Records Committee. On March 31, 2018 MormonLeaks published version of BYUPD's incident report concerning Joseph L. Bishop that contained different redactions than had other versions that had previously been released. It revealed the existence of an audio recording made by BYU detectives when interviewing Bishop on December 5, 2017.

MormonLeaks submitted a GRAMA request (Utah's FOIA equivalent) to the BYU Police Department for said audio recording. It was denied by the BYUPD claiming they are not a government organization and that it would breach Bishop's privacy. Their decision was subsequently appealed to the State Records Committee and a hearing date of June 14 has been scheduled.
